Review:
Overview:
Samsung Galaxy Ace was and still is one of the most successful Android middle range phones. Now Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus is going to replace it but we can’t see much improvements in the new version compared to the older one. But still it retains that sleek and stylish looks of the original Galaxy Ace and improvements come only in parts. Samsung galaxy Ace Plus’s success in India largely depends on the pricing since competitors like Motorola Defy Plus have already in the market with similar features.
Advantages:
Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus comes with Android OS, v2.3 (Gingerbread) and a 1 GHz processor. Processor is an improvement over 800 MHz processor of original galaxy Ace. The phone has quad band 2G and dual band 3G networks. It has a slightly bigger 3.7 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen with Multitouch input, Touch-sensitive controls and TouchWiz UI. Camera is only a 5 MP one as in the case of the old one and there is no front camera either. Ace Plus has 3 GB internal storage, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DPand reasonably good 3G data transfer speed of HSDPA 7.2 Mbps. Other useful features include Predictive text input, Accelerometer Sensors, proximity Sensors and compass.
Disadvantages:
Our main concern is the lack of a secondary camera. A mobile phone of this stature should have one. Another improvement could have been in the Touch screen. Had it been LCD capacitive touchscreen, it would have been in line with the improvements in the new version. Internal storage could have been more. But all depends on the price of the phone, which is yet to be announced.
